It takes someone to pray

It takes someone to pray
It doesn't happen by itself nay
Will you do it come what may
And not let other pursuits steal your day

Praying is war so come into the fray
That the unsaved will find the way
If we don't, at the end they will pay
So lets get busy, while sun shines make hay.

Will you boldly approach the throne of grace
To obtain mercy will you seek his face
Will you petition for help to finish the race
In your life will prayer have its rightful place

Talking with God is a delight
Sometimes I feel like talking whole night
It gives me joy and makes me bright
Floods my soul with heavenly light

Lord God almighty holy holy holy are you
Very faithful and what you promise you do
Your ways are righteous just and true
And In your justice you remember mercy too

You are gracious and compassionate slow to anger
Abounding in love and forgiving all my wrongs
You are a shelter from storms and a refuge from danger
You love us so deeply that for you my heart longs
